Intrepid Games wants to bring the board gaming world closer together through collaboration. Our vision is to channel the excitement of Kickstarter into 'brick & mortar' gaming venues, by giving players the ability to 'back' their local game shop and play pre-released games before they pledge.

To this end, we are engaging cafes, game shops, reviewers and you (the public) to playtest Lander. The feedback we receive will enable us to work with our manufacturer to ensure that the quality of the components meets expectations and the game creates the best possible experience for you, the backer.

Ahead of our Kickstarter campaign, we've enlisted the help of 130 top-rated board game venues around the world. As of August 2019, they have all received a demo copy of Lander and will have game gurus available to help you get started playing.

You can use the Lander Play Before You Pledge map to find your closest venue, learn more about each venue on our partners page and view Play Before You Pledge campaign updates.

In February 2020 we released a version of Lander for Tabletop Simulator, so those of you who are too far from one of our Play Before You Pledge partners, have an opportunity to play the game before the official Kickstarter campaign launches.

You can support us by rating us on BoardGameGeek, following us on social media @Landerthegame and using the hashtag #PlayBeforeYouPledge on any relevant social media posts.
